I installed RStudio on Mac and tried to install RQDA directly from packages tab.
After trying many different things. I found out RStudio was trying to install the wrong version of GTK+.
Once I manually downloaded the right version (GTK_2.24.17-X11.pkg (ca. 41MB)) then I could run RQDA through RStudio.
[RStudio, by default was downloading and installing the older (GTK_2.18.5-X11.pkg (ca. 58MB)). This older version didn't work for me.]
Up and running now.
